If you are interested in consigning a piece with us, please call or email with the following details:
- A photo of the item in good light.
- A brief description including the size, condition (describe any damages), material it is made from, etc.
- Any history about the item – provenance is helpful!
- The minimum price you would like to receive for the item. We always try to sell it for more!
To consign items with Andres Harnisch Brokerage, Inc., please consider the following:
You invite us in to inspect the item or items. If a specialized, third party opinion is needed, we work with several appraisers to help ascertain market value. In some cases, the item may need restoration, which we can also arrange, with the best experts in the state. Any expenses incurred from appraisal or restoration would be deducted from the final sales price, before any commission is taken out.
Next, we find a buyer. This could be through our wealth local and global private collectors, auction houses, eBay, an upcoming estate sale or even something else. Andres Harnisch Brokerage knows how to find buyers!
After the sale is finalized and payment has been received in our Client Trust account, we pack and ship the items for you. Typically, buyers pay for the shipping and have approximately two weeks to consider returning the items at their expense. Once this period has elapsed, we issue a check for our clients. Checks are issued within the second week of the month, for anything selling in the previous month. Some items sell immediately and some may take a year or more. Often, this is dependent upon the client’s needs. Some prefer to wait for top dollar and some want to generate fast cash from a quicker sale. You decide the minimum amount you want to receive, and we work within your parameters.
We are a small business and we customize our service to fit the individual needs of each client. We handle complete, elaborate estates, small collections, and even one item at a time.
